Instrument Rating (Single-Engine)

Overview

The IFR rating allows you to fly certain single-engine piston powered aircraft in conditions that are not ideal (lowered visibility). This is great for private pilots who need to fly even when the weather is not perfect. The IFR rating is also absolutely necessary for commercial pilots on the career track.
